David Hinojosa serves as Chief Executive Officer of Heritage Grocers Group, bringing more than 30 years of grocery and retail leadership experience to this role.

He began his career at age 17 as a part time night stocker at Walmart while attending Whittier College. David later spent 17 years at H EB, where he served in both corporate and regional leadership roles. His background also includes executive positions at Metcash in Australia, Makro in Thailand, ShopRite in the Northeast, and most recently as Chief Operating Officer at Vallarta Supermarkets.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Finance and has completed executive programs at Harvard Business School and Cornell University. He also serves as a board member for the Western Association of Food Chains (WAFC) and has served as a board member for the Food Industry Association (FMI).
