Adam Salgado serves as chief marketing officer for Heritage Grocer Group. In this role he oversees the day-to-day operations of the company’s marketing, communications, and customer service departments in addition to e-commerce and loyalty program initiatives.
Adam joined the Cardenas Markets banner in2018 with a proven track record of promoting multicultural and diversity among marketing initiatives. His marketing career started in advertising at Leo Burnett/Starcom working on Kellogg’s and McDonald’s business. He then transitioned to McDonald’s where he started in the Puerto Rico market. Throughout the course of his 19-year tenure with McDonald’s he held various marketing positions at McDonald’s in New York, Latin America, Houston, and Chicago.
He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame where he received a degree in Marketing and holds an MBA from Fordham University in New York City.
Adam sits on the Board of Trustees for the California Grocers Association Educational Foundation and Arizona Food Marketing Alliance. He is also on the board of directors for the California Grocers Association and serves president for the Cardenas Markets Foundation.
